Very predictable result when third ranked Italian Schio (7-5) defeated at home 8th ranked Polish Arka Gdynia (2-11) 75-61 on Saturday. Schio forced 22 Arka Gdynia turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Power forward Jasmine Keys (192-97) fired 19 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Latvian forward Kitija Laksa (186-96, college: S.Florida) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. American-Polish guard Marissa Kastanek (175-90, college: NC State) produced 15 points and 4 assists and Greek guard Pinelopi Pavlopoulou (172-96, college: WSU) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Arka Gdynia's coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Schio maintains third place in Group B with 7-5 record having just nineteen point less than leader Bourges, which they share with Dynamo K. Arka Gdynia lost their third game in a row. Defending Polish champion keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Schio will meet Galatasaray (#6) in the next round. Arka Gdynia will play against Girona and hope to secure a win.
