Important game to mention about took place in Moscow. Eleventh ranked Turkish Efes (11-11) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging higher ranked Russian CSKA (13-9) 99-97 on Wednesday evening. Efes shot the lights out from three nailing 19 long-distance shots on high 55.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Turkish guard Shane Larkin (182-92, college: Miami, FL) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and French Rodrigue Beaubois (190-88, agency: BeoBasket) who added 22 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Efes players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Italian point guard Daniel Hackett (193-87, college: USC) with 31 points and American Will Clyburn (201-90, college: Iowa St.) scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending Turkish champion moved-up to eighth place. Defending Russian champion CSKA keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Efes will play against ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#13) at home in the next round where they are favorite. CSKA will play against ALBA Berlin (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
