Regular Season Round 26: Fenerbahce - Real Madrid 66-51

The biggest surprise took place in Istanbul where host Turkish Fenerbahce (12-10) beat league's leader Spanish Real Madrid (20-5) 66-51 on Tuesday evening. The best player for the winners was American-Senegalese point guard Pierria Henry (193-93, college: Charlotte) who scored 8 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Canadian forward Dyshawn Pierre (198-93, college: Dayton, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Cape Verdean-Spanish center Walter Tavares (220-92) produced 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and guard Sergio Llull (190-87) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fenerbahce have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place. Real Madrid at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Barca who have the same record. Real Madrid will play next round against Zalgiris trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Fenerbahce will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked Monaco on the road.
