No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Turkish Efes (13-11) beat 14th ranked Lithuanian Zalgiris (7-18) in Kaunas 85-71. Serbian point guard Vasilije Micic (196-1994, agency: BeoBasket) scored 20 points and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Turkish guard Shane Larkin (182-1992, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 10 points and 8 assists during the contest. Five Efes players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American power forward Tyler Cavanaugh (206-1994, college: GWU) with 22 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Josh Nebo (206-1997, college: Texas A&M) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Zalgiris' coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending Turkish champion moved-up to fifth place. Defending Lithuanian champion Zalgiris keep the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. Efes will play against league's second-placed Real Madrid at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
