Regular Season Round 32: Maccabi T-A - Real Madrid 75-74

The most exciting game of round 32 in the Euroleague took place in Tel-Aviv. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Spanish Real Madrid (18-8) to seventh ranked Israeli Maccabi Tel-Aviv (13-11) 75-74 on Thursday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Strangely Real Madrid outrebounded Maccabi Tel-Aviv 44-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward James Nunnally (201-1990, college: UCSB) who scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import guard Keenan Evans (191-1996, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Maccabi Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. French Guerschon Yabusele (201-1995) produced 14 points and 7 rebounds and Cape Verdean-Spanish center Walter Tavares (220-1992) added 6 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending Israeli champion moved-up to sixth place. Real Madrid at the other side keeps the second position with eight games lost. Maccabi Tel-Aviv are looking forward to face Panathinaikos (#14) in Athens in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
