Venezia overcame a sluggish start to beat Mersin and secured their championship game berth. The hosts trailed by 15 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning two of next three quarters and won the game by 5 points. Venezia made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Serbian guard Yvonne Anderson (170-1990, college: Texas) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 assists. American forward Kayla Thornton (185-1992, college: UTEP) contributed with 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Tiffany Hayes (177-1989, college: UConn) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds and British-Nigerian forward Temi Fagbenle (193-1992, college: USC) added 23 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Mersin.
