Bourges conquered EuroCup trophy. They stunned Venezia at the Palais des Sports du Prado in Bourges to capture the second tournament trophy in their history. Bourges led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Venezia to just 4 points in fourth quarter and to 9 points in second half. Bourges held Venezia to an opponent 21.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 46.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Bourges players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Venezia's players. Center Iliana Rupert (193-2001) stepped up and scored 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Sarah Michel (180-1989) chipped in 7 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals. Bourges' coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Senegalese-Spanish center Astou Ndour (198-1994) responded with 10 points and 5 rebounds and American-Serbian guard Yvonne Anderson (170-1990, college: Texas) scored 12 points.
