Regular Season Round 30: Partizan - Olympiacos 90-75

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Greek Olympiacos (21-9) in Beograd on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by seventh ranked Serbian Partizan (17-13) 90-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Olympiacos. Partizan made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward James Nunnally (201-1990, college: UCSB) scored 19 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and French center Mathias Lessort (206-1995, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Five Partizan players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Azerbaijani Shaquielle McKissic (196-1990, college: Arizona St.) with 21 points and French center Moustapha Fall (216-1992) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Partizan moved-up to sixth place, which they share with M.Tel-Aviv. Defending Greek champion Olympiacos still keep top position with nine games lost. They share it with Real Madrid. Partizan is looking forward to face higher ranked Barca (#3) in Barcelona in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Olympiacos will play at home against ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket and are hoping to win this game.
