Very predictable result when third ranked Spanish Barca (22-10) won against 17th ranked German ALBA Berlin (9-23) in Barcelona 72-56 on Thursday. Barca dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to ALBA Berlin's 24. The winners were led by Turkish center Sertac Sanli (213-1991) who scored that evening 12 points and 6 rebounds and Nikola Mirotic (208-1991) supported him with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Even 4 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by American Luke Sikma (202-1989, college: Portland) did not help to save the game for ALBA Berlin. Louis Olinde (205-1998) added 7 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Barca have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Real Madrid. Defending German champion ALBA Berlin keeps the seventeenth position with 23 games lost. Barca will meet Milano (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
