Regular Season Round 6: Milano - Monaco 66-72

There was no surprise when 17th ranked Italian Armani Milano (1-5) was defeated at home by sixth ranked French Monaco (4-2)72-66 on Thursday. American guard Mike James (185-1990, college: Lamar) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Guinean-American forward Alpha Diallo (201-1997, college: Providence) chipped in 13 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Danish Shavon Shields (201-1994, college: Nebraska) with 17 points and 4 assists and Spanish Nikola Mirotic (208-1991) scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Monaco have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending French champion maintains sixth position with 4-2 record. Armani Milano lost fourth consecutive game. Defending Italian champion dropped to the sixteenth place with five games lost. They share the position with ALBA and ASVEL.
