There was an upset when higher ranked TurkishEfes (4-5) were defeated on the road by seventeenth ranked Italian Armani Milano (3-6) 92-76 on Thursday. Armani Milano outrebounded Efes 32-19 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Armani Milano shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Power forward Nicolo Melli (205-1991) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and Danish Shavon Shields (201-1994, college: Nebraska) chipped in 18 points. Five Armani Milano players scored in double figures. Armani Milano's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American forward Will Clyburn (201-1990, college: Iowa St.) with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Turkish guard Shane Larkin (182-1992, college: Miami, FL) scored 13 points and 7 assists. Defending Italian champion moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Bayern and Crvena Zvezda. Defending Turkish champion Efes keep the eleventh position with five games lost. They share it with Partizan and Zalgiris.
