Regular Season Round 10: Anadolu Efes - Partizan 100-94

Everything could happen in Istanbul at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked TurkishEfes and 12th ranked Serbian Partizan had identical 4-5 record. This time Efes used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Beograd 100-94 on Friday night. Anadolu Efes made 26-of-30 free shots (86.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Partizan turnovers. Strangely Partizan outrebounded Anadolu Efes 28-11 . They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. American-Turkish guard Shane Larkin (182-1992, college: Miami, FL) notched 27 points and 8 assists (made all of his seven free throws) to lead the effort and American point guard Darius Thompson (193-1995, college: WKU) supported him with 18 points. Four Efes players scored in double figures. Efes' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 24 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) by American center Frank Kaminsky (213-1993, college: Wisconsin) did not help to save the game for Partizan . His fellow American import James Nunnally (201-1990, college: UCSB) added 16 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Defending Turkish champion (5-5) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Partizan keeps the twelfth position with six games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Efes will meet Crvena Zvezda (#16) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Partizan will play against Panathinaikos (#6) and hope to secure a win.
