Regular Season Round 8: Lublin - Schio 67-70

A very close game took place in Lublin between ItalianSchio and Polish Lublin . Third ranked Schio (5-3) got a very close victory on the road over 5th ranked Lublin (1-7). Schio managed to escape with a 3-point win 70-67 on Wednesday evening. Schio looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Jasmine Keys (191-1997) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 13 rebounds and Czech center Julia Reisingerova (194-1998) who added 14 points during the contest. Schio's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Veronica Burton (175-2000, college: Northwestern) responded with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and Swedish forward Elin Gustavsson (190-1993, college: Colorado St.) scored 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Lublin players scored in double figures. Defending Italian champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Avenida and Mersin. Lublin lost fifth consecutive game. Defending Polish champion keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with UNI Gyor and Lyon.
