Taveion Hollingsworth claims Cypriot ECOMMBX BL weekly honour

American Taveion Hollingsworth (188-G-1999) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Petrolina AEK Larnaca and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 26-year old guard had the game-high 23 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for AEK Larnaca in his team's victory, helping them to beat Anorthosis (#9, 2-5) 97-83. It allowed AEK Larnaca to consolidate first place in the Cypriot ECOMMBX BL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and AEK Larnaca still have not lost a single game, getting all 7 victories. In the team's last game Hollingsworth had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at AEK Larnaca, through which he has constantly improved. Taveion Hollingsworth averages this season 16.9ppg and 6.4rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was American guard Yazid Powell (193-G) of Etha Engomis Nicosia. Despite Williams' great performance the Paralimni lost 77-79 to the higher-ranked AEL (#4, 4-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Paralimni ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Williams could help Paralimni to bring them higher in the standings. Williams has a great season in Cyprus. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.3ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 10.0rpg (8th best).
