Slovenia topped Czech Republic for the first win in Group C. Slovenia set the tone in the first half. They established a 46-30 halftime lead. Czech Republic narrowed the gap in the second half but could not avoid the loss. Jan Zemljic (178-G/F-2004) provided 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists to pace the winners. Josef Svoboda (185-SG-2005) had 11 points for Czech Republic.
United Kingdom - Israel 61-89
Israel coasted past United Kingdom to improve at 2-0 record in Group A. Israel dominated right from the tip off. They piled up a 54-28 halftime advantage. Israel extended the lead at 35-point mark in the third term and cruised to the victory. Noam Yaacov (186-PG-2004) delivered 18 points, while Ido Menchel (183-G-2004) added 15 points for Israel. Latrell Davis netted 15 points for United Kingdom.
Italy - Lithuania 61-79
Lithuania claimed the second straight win in Izmir as they stormed past Italy. The teams were tied at 38 after twenty minutes of action. But Lithuania ignited a strong 41-23 second half rally to seal the win. Motiejus Krivas (213-C-2004) tallied 17 points and 15 rebounds for the Baltic team. Italy answered with 13 points from Matteo Visintin (189-G-2004).
Germany - Poland 56-63
Anthony Wrzeszcz (191-G/F-2004) scored 17 points to pace Poland past Germany as they opened win count in Izmir. Germany led by four points at the big break 34-30. Poland however limited their opponents to just 22 points in the second half and raced to the victory. Martin Kalu (194-PG-2005) and Kilian Brockhoff (205-PF-2004) had 16 points each for Germany.
Montenegro - Croatia 56-67
Croatia beat Montenegro to open win count in Group D. Montenegro led by three points after ten minutes of action. But Croatia responded with a 19-9 run in the second term to spur ahead. Croatia sank 34 points in the second half and rallied to the win. Andrija Jelavic (207-F-2004, agency: BeoBasket) accounted for 17 points and 12 rebounds for Croatia. Amar Hot (185-G-2004) hauled in 13 points for Montenegro.
Turkey - Spain 56-64
Spain beat Turkey for the second straight win in Group B. Spain limited the hosts to a single point in the first period to open a 12-point lead. Spain then followed with a 20-14 rally in the third term to take an unassailable lead. Jordi Rodriguez (199-F-2004, agency: BIG) provided 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Berke Buyuktuncel (202-F-2004) replied with 20 points for Turkey.
Greece - Serbia 63-77
Serbia tamed Greece to take 2-0 record in Group C. Djordje Curcic (2004) delivered 18 points to pace the winners. Serbia accumulated a 38-31 halftime lead. They controlled the tempo in the second half and marched to the win. Filip Radakovic (200-F-2004) posted 17 points in the victory. Alexandros Samodurov (209-F-2005) and Georgios Kalatzis (197-F-2004) netted 12 points each for Greece.
North Macedonia - France 47-104
France cruised past North Macedonia for the second consecutive win in Izmir. les Bleues stormed to a 64-21 halftime lead and eased to the victory in the second half. Five players scored in double digits for France. Bilal Coulibaly (196-G-2004) produced 19 points for France. Petar Bashoski (181-G-2004) chipped in 12 points for North Macedonia.
