Germany breezed past Poland for 2-0 record in Group B. Germany recorded a 29-13 lead after ten minutes. They limited Poland to just 9 points in the fourth quarter and raced to the win. Christian Anderson (175-G-2006) posted 14 points, while Ivan Kharchenkov (198-SG-2006) added 13 points for Germany. Jan Nowicki (197-SF-2005) answered with 14 points for Poland.
Italy - Denmark 93-77
Italy registered the initial win in Nis as they held off Denmark in Group D. Italy posted a 48-30 halftime advantage. The Azzurri stretched the margin at 23-point mark in the third and never looked back en route to the win. Gabriel Puzzatto notched 17 points, while Francesco Ferrari (190-G-2005) added 15 points for the Azzurri. Johan Munch (194-PG-2005) answered with 24 points for Denmark.
Lithuania - Sweden 99-80
Seven players scored in double digits as Lithuania outscored Sweden for 1-1 record. Lithuania recorded a 51-32 halftime advantage. They poured in 48 points in the second half to ease to the victory. Petras Padegimas (203-F-2005) provided 20 points and 9 rebounds for Lithuania. Samuel Obenjo (197-C-2006) netted 15 points for Sweden.
Slovenia - Czech Republic 89-60
Slovenia cruised past Czech Republic for the second win in Nis. Slovenia built a comfortable 60-34 halftime lead and coasted to the win in the second half. Blaz Tratar (200-PF-2005) delivered 15 points and 9 rebounds, while Vit Hrabar (202-SF-2006) produced 13 points for Slovenia. Milan Stranel (201-F-2005) accounted for 17 points and 15 rebounds for Czech Republic.
France - Israel 83-70
France toppled Israel for the second win in a row in Nis. France accumulated a 50-36 halftime advantage. They maintained the lead throughout the second half and raced to the win. Illan Pietrus (187-G-2005) delivered 17 points for les Bleus. Ofri Naveh (199-F-2005) tossed in 14 points for Israel.
Turkey - Croatia 81-69
Turkey outgunned Croatia for the second straight win in Group B. Croatia eked out a 32-31 halftime lead. But Turkey responded with a 27-14 run in the fourth term to snatch the win. Demir Dogan delivered 20 points, while Emre Tunca (207-C-2005) and Berk Akin (188-PG-2005) added 15 points apiece for Turkey. Toni Bilic (201-G-2005) answered with 18 points for Croatia.
Serbia - Finland 96-72
Serbia eased past Finland to gain 2-0 record in Nis. The hosts piled up a 40-29 halftime lead. Serbia knocked down 32 points in the fourth stanza to secure the win. Mitar Bosnjakovic (200-SF-2006) recorded 19 points, while Pavle Nikolic (200-F-2005) and Nikola Topic (198-PG-2005) produced 14 points each for the winners. Eetu Heinonen (190-G-2006) chipped in 16 points for Finland.
Spain - Greece 83-59
Spain overwhelmed Greece behind 14 points each from Lucas Hernandez (192-G-2005) and Hugo Gonzalez (198-G-2006). Spain went on a 26-12 run in the second term to take a 15-point halftime lead. They followed with a 20-9 run in the third stanza to clear off for good. Neoklis Avdalas (196-PG-2006, agency: Octagon Europe) posted 10 points for Greece.
