Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Rasta Vechta (13-2) on the court of twelfth ranked Kirchheim Knights on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by Kirchheim Knights 93-87. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Rasta Vechta. 24 personal fouls committed by Rasta Vechta helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American center Tyrone Nash (203-1988, college: Notre Dame) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import point guard Richard Williams Jr (178-1987, college: SDSU) helped adding 16 points and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was Joschka Ferner (202-1996) with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kirchheim Knights have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Trier and Karlsruhe PS. Rasta Vechta at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Kirchheim Knights is looking forward to face Schwenningen (#17) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rasta Vechta will play against the league's second-placed Tigers (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
Important game to mention about took place in Hagen. Eighth ranked Falcons (9-6) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Phoenix Hagen (9-6) 90-88 in the game for the fourth place. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Rocky Kreuser (206-1999, college: NDSU) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Thomas Wilder accounted for 11 points and 7 assists. American guard Kyle Castlin (193-1996, college: Xavier) came up with 23 points for Phoenix Hagen in the defeat. Phoenix Hagen's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Falcons moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Phoenix Hagen. Falcons will play against Artland Dragons (#4) in Quakenbrueck in the next round. Phoenix Hagen will play on the road against Titans in Dresden and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Jena between Lions and Science City Jena. Twelfth ranked Lions (8-7) got a very close victory on the road over 11th ranked Science City Jena (7-8). Lions managed to escape with a 3-point win 85-82 on Wednesday evening. The best player for the winners was Lovell Cabbil who scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was Adam Pechacek who recorded 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Lions moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Trier and Kirchheim. Science City Jena lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. Lions will meet at home Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#13) in the next round. Science City Jena will play against Muenster and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 15: Artland won against Bochum on the opponent's court 103-86. Bremerhaven unfortunately lost to Dresden in a home game 80-91. Trier managed to beat Schwenningen on the road 89-71. Bottom-ranked Leverkusen was defeated by Giessen on its own court 93-97. Paderborn beat Duesseldorf in a road game 83-75.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists by Marcus Anderson of Paderborn.



Bochum - Artland 86-103

Very expected game in Bochum where 16th ranked SparkassenStars (4-11) were defeated by seventh ranked Artland Dragons (9-6) 103-86 on Tuesday. Artland Dragons made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward DeVondre Perry (196-1999, college: Albany) who scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard William Christmas (196-1996, college: CPP) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. Artland Dragons' coach Julien Patrick Flomo used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was center Hendrik Drescher (204-2000) who recorded 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and American guard TJ Crockett (185-1999, college: Lindenwood) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Artland Dragons moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser SparkassenStars dropped to the fifteenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Duesseldorf. Artland Dragons will meet Falcons (#7) in the next round. SparkassenStars will play against Uni Baskets (#8) in Paderborn and hope to secure a win.

The best player for the winners was Canadian Tanner Graham (200-1996, college: Queen's) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Daniel Kirchner (187-1997) chipped in 11 points and 9 assists.
