Best players of Hungarian B Red round 5 (by Hoops Agents)

Mate Papai (206-C-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for Ujbuda MAFC and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents B Red Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 28-year old center had a double-double of 21 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Tiszaujvaros (#3, 3-1) 102-92. MAFC is placed at 6th position in Hungarian B Red. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. MAFC will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Papai had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at MAFC, through which he has constantly improved. Florida Institute of Technology graduate has very impressive stats this year. Papai is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 11.6rpg) and averages solid 60.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young swingman Bruno Bazso (195-F/G-1995) of Hubner Nyiregyhaza BS. Bazso impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Hubner NBS lost that game 82-92 to league's leader ZTE KK (#1, 5-0). Hubner NBS are still at the very bottom. 4 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Bazso is well-known by Hubner NBS fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.8ppg (#5). He also registered 5.8 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Carlbe Ervin II (190-G-1995) of Tiszaujvarosi Termalfurdo Phoenix KK (#3). Ervin II showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Ervin II's great performance the Tiszaujvaros lost 92-102 to the lower-ranked MAFC (#6, 3-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Tiszaujvaros needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 3 victories and 1 lost game. Ervin II has a great season in Hungary. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.5ppg (8th best). Ervin II attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
