Montenegrin Basketball League (Erste Liga) History

League status

The Erste Liga (A1) is the first-tier professional basketball league in Montenegro. Erste Liga was established in 2006.
The Erste Liga sits above the Prva B which effectively forms the second-tier of Montenegrin basketball.
At the end of regular season, top 6 teams qualify to the play-offs.
The bottom team is relegated to Prva B.
Limits of non-Montenegrin players per team: 3 import players (non-Europeans), 3 Bosman players (with European passport) . Total number of allowed imports and Bosmans is 3.
