Jerome Hunter gets MVP of the Week award for Russian Superleague (by Hoops Agents)

American Jerome Hunter (205-F-1999, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) had a great game in the last round for BC Chelbasket Chelyabinsk and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Superleague Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 27-year old forward had the game-high 27 points adding four rebounds for Chelbasket in his team's victory, helping them to beat Tambov (#12, 1-3) 90-85. Chelbasket is placed at 3rd position in Russian Superleague. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Chelbasket already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Hunter had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Chelbasket's top player in his first season with the team. Xavier University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Hunter is in league's top in points (2nd best: 18.7ppg) and averages solid 66.7% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young point guard Ilyas Abdul (178-PG-2004, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) of Metallurg Magnitogorsk. Abdul impressed basketball fans with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for Metallurg MGN to edge slightly lower-ranked Kupol-Rodniki (#10, 1-3) by 3 points 89-86. This victory allowed Metallurg MGN to move up to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 1-2 record. Abdul is a newcomer at Metallurg MGN and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Grigoriy Tuchkov (183-G-2003) of Kupol-Rodniki Izhevsk (#10). Tuchkov scored 25 points. Despite Tuchkov's great performance the Kupol-Rodniki lost 86-89 to slightly higher-ranked Metallurg MGN (#8, 1-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Kupol-Rodniki can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Tuchkov has individually a great season in Russia. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.3ppg (best scorer).
