Elijah Elliott gets MVP of the Week award for Swiss SBL

American Elijah Elliott (175-G-2002) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best BBC Nyon and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 24-year old guard had the game-high 28 points adding two rebounds and nine assists for Nyon in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Monthey-Chablais (#9, 1-4) with 56-point margin 118-62. Nyon is placed at 2nd position in Swiss SBL. They are still close to the very top. Nyon would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. In the team's last game Elliott had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Nyon's top player in his first season with the team. New Mexico State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Elliott is league's best scorer averaging so far 29.2ppg and is league's best passer with 6.4apg. Elliott is in league's top in and averages solid 3.6spg and 52.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Nyon's star - young Senegalese center Amadou Wade (205-C-2003). Wade impressed basketball fans with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course together with Elliott he helped BBC Nyon with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Monthey-Chablais (#9, 1-4) 118-62. This victory allowed Nyon to move up to second position in the standings. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 4 matches. Wade is a newcomer at Nyon and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Zarique Nutter (201-F-2002) of A++ Massagno (#4). Nutter showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Massagno, leading his team to a 102-72 easy win against the lower-ranked Lugano (#7, 1-4). Massagno is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 4-1 record is not that bad... Nutter has a great season in Switzerland. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.6ppg (3rd best).
