Thailand - Latvia 57-74
Latvia rallied past hosting Thailand to gain the second victory in Bangkok. Thailand and Latvia were tied at 32 after ten minutes. Latvia though ignited a 42:25 second half run to seal the win. Laura Meldere (190-F/C-01) delivered 25 points and 9 rebounds, while Jete Nulle (170-PG-01) added 11 points for the Baltic team. Yada Sriharaksa (180-F/C-01) responded with 19 points for Thailand.

Canada - Mozambique 60-59
Canada nipped Mozambique to improve at 1-1 record in Group A. Canada got to a strong start of the game. Canada posted a 37:24 halftime lead. Mozambique went on a 16:4 run in the fourth stanza but came up short at the end. Taya Hanson (178-G-00) produced 19 points, while Christina Morra (188-F-00) added 12 points for Canada. Chanaya Pinto (G-00) replied with 23 points and 11 rebounds for Mozambique.

Group B
Argentina - Belgium 43-69
Belgium recorded the second win in a row at the tournament. They stormed past Argentina to stay perfect. Belgium piled up a comfortable 24:6 lead after ten minutes. Belgium followed with a 36:25 second half run to ice the win. Marie Vervaet (186-C-00) stepped up with 19 points, while Emmeline Leblon (165-PG-00) added 14 points in the victory. Sol Castro (186-C-00) answered with 10 points for Argentina.

China - Mali 72-62
China outgunned Mali to open win count in Bangkok. China grabbed a 24:13 lead ten minutes into the game. They followed with a 20:14 run in the final period to secure the winning outcome. Zheng Ming (178-G-01) came up with 17 points, while Mingling Chen (192-F/C-00) added 14 points in the victory. Gnere Dembele (186-C-00) answered with 18 points and 12 rebounds for Mali.

Group C
South Korea - USA 67-89
USA gained 2-0 record in Thailand as they beat South Korea. USA established a 50:31 halftime lead. USA unleashed 39 points in the second half to race to the win. Francesca Belibi (185-F-01) delivered 18 points, while Rhyne Howard (188-G-00) added 17 points and 9 rebounds in the win. Park Jihyun (180-F-00) replied with 26 points for South Korea.

Australia - Hungary 81-71
Australia fired past Hungary to improve at 1-1 record. Australia secured a 44:33 halftime lead. Australia unloaded 25 points in the fourth stanza to drive to the win. Alexandra Fowler (182-F/C-01) came up with 19 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Isabelle Bourne (186-C-00) contributed 15 points in the victory. Barbara Angyal (173-PG-01) notched 15 points for Hungary.

Group D
Spain - Japan 79-65
Spain registered the second straight win in Bangkok. They edged Japan to stay on top of Group D. Spain accumulated a 38:33 halftime lead. Spain used a 24:9 run in the third term to clear off for good. Helena Pueyo (182-F-01) stepped up with 21 points, while Lola Pendande (190-F-00) added 14 points and 12 rebounds for Spain. Saori Ohhara (183-C-00) replied with 14 points for Japan.

Germany - Colombia 60-67
Colombia upset Germany to take the first win in Group D. Colombia eked out a 39:35 halftime lead. Colombia held Germany to just 25 points in the second half and raced to the win. Mayra Caicedo (163-G-00, college: N.Mexico JC) provided 19 points, while Maria Alvarez (170-SG-01) added 14 points in the victory. Luisa Geiselsoeder (192-C-00) answered with 21 points for Germany.
