Latvia earned the third straight victory at the championship. They fired past Mozambique to remain undefeated. Mozambique led by six points at the first break. However Latvia used a 36:20 run in the second half to snatch the victory. Laura Meldere (190-F/C-01) tossed in 21 points and collected 17 rebounds, while Mara Mote (182-F-00) added 16 points for Latvia. Chanaya Pinto (G-00) replied with 10 points and 12 rebounds for Mozambique.
Canada - Thailand 75-49
Canada improved at 2-1 record in Group A as they cruised past hosting Thailand. Aaliyah Edwards (184-F-02) and Micah Dennis (175-PG-01) posted 14 points each for the winners. Canada and Thailand were tied at 29 after two quarters. But the North American side unloaded 46 points in the second half and rallied to the win. Yada Sriharaksa (180-F/C-01) replied with 11 points for Thailand.
Group B
China - Argentina 74-49
China beat Argentina to claim the second position in Group B. China recorded a 34:22 halftime lead. China followed with a 40:27 second half run to seal the victory. Mingling Chen (192-F/C-00) produced 19 points, while Li Yuan (170-PG-00) added 17 points for China. Camila Suarez (178-SG-00) replied with 11 points for Argentina.
Mali - Belgium 40-69
Belgium stormed past Mali to gain the third straight win at the championship. Belgium recorded a 39:21 halftime lead. They held Mali to just 19 points in the second half to race to the victory. Billie Massey (184-PF-00) posted 18 points and 11 rebounds in the win. Marie Vervaet (186-C-00) had 15 points for Belgium. Aminata Traore (191-C-01) replied with 10 points for Mali.
Group C
USA - Hungary 95-50
Rhyne Howard (188-G-00) notched 18 points and 8 rebounds for the USA as they topped Hungary. USA built a 57:20 halftime advantage. They held Hungary to just 30 points in the second half and raced to the win. Paige Bueckers (180-G-01) had 13 points in the victory. Barbara Angyal (173-PG-01) answered with 14 points for Hungary.
South Korea - Australia 59-78
Australia overcame South Korea to clinch the second position in Group C. Five players scored in double digits for the winners. Alexandra Fowler (182-F/C-01) chipped in 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Australia. They grabbed a 22:15 lead ten minutes into the game. Australia followed with a strong 49:29 second half run to ice the victory. Isobel Anstey (191-C-01) notched 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Aussies. Park Jihyun (180-F-00) knocked down 22 points for South Korea.
Group D
Colombia - Japan 58-69
Japan recorded the second win in Bangkok. They toppled Colombia for 2-1 record in Group D. Colombia grabbed a 33:29 halftime lead. But Japan bounced back with a 40:25 run in the second half to snatch the win. Layla Takehara (183-F/C-00) chipped in 14 points, while Norika Konno (177-F/G-00) and Nanako Todo (175-G/F-00) added 11 points each for Japan. Yuliany Paz (195-C-00) responded with 27 points and 10 rebounds for Colombia.
Germany - Spain 49-56
Aixa Wone (189-PF-00) knocked down 14 points to pace Spain past Germany for the third consecutive win in Group D. Spain eked out a 24:22 halftime lead. Spain limited Germany to just 27 points in the second half and marched to the win. Ana Palma (187-F-00) added 11 points for Spain. Pauline Mayer (172-PG-01) answered with 13 points for Germany.
