Royal Braine dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Gdynia 's 30. They outrebounded Gdynia 38-22 including 29 on the defensive glass. Royal Braine looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Gdynia 's players. Bulgarian point guard Gergana Ivanova (177-1999) scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward DeYona Gaston (188-2000, college: Auburn) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Royal Braine players scored in double figures. Royal Braine's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Slovakian guard Barbora Wrzesinski (178-1994) responded with 12 points and 6 assists and American guard Morgan Jones (188-1999, college: Louisville) scored 13 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line).
