Mersin looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Ukrainian swingman Alina Iagupova (186-1992, agency: LBM Management) stepped up and scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Lithuanian forward Laura Juskaite (187-1997) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Mersin's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side power forward Artemis Spanou (186-1993, college: RMU) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Feyonda Fitzgerald (170-1995, college: Temple) scored 19 points and 8 assists. Five Mersin and four Panathinaikos players scored in double figures.
