One of the most interesting games of round 22 was a derby match between two teams from Spain. Sixth rankedReal Madrid outleveled visiting FC Barcelona (14-8) 80-61 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of FC Barcelona. Real Madrid looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Power forward Usman Garuba (203-2002) scored 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Cape Verdean-Spanish center Walter Tavares (220-1992) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Real Madrid players scored in double figures. At the losing side Argentinian guard Nicolas Laprovittola (190-1990) responded with 12 points and Dario Brizuela (188-1994) scored 13 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Real Madrid have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending Spanish champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Barca and Valencia.
