Preliminary Round Day 3: FINLAND - ROMANIA 74-48

Finland improved to 1-1 record in Group B of the U16 European Championship. The Nordic side overcame Romania 74:48 in Division B Day 3. Romania meanwhile fell at 0-2 record. Finland lost the opener to Luxembourg and desired to better their positions. They won the first period 22-16 and added 23-9 rally in the second frame. Moreover Finland won the third period 18-12 and then both teams posted 11 points in the last stanza. Makela and Aijanen scored for the final 74:48 win. Karsten Sandra top-scored for the winners with 23 points and Salmenkivi Iina as well as Borenius Johanna poured in 9 each. Karkkainen Riina followed them with 8 points in a win. Ferariu Ana ended up with 16 points in defeat and Arsulesei Andreea as well as Matei Raluca posted 8 apiece.
