Bosnia - Lithuania 85-83 Bosnia and Herzegovina wrote history in Kaunas. They overcame hosting Lithuania to clinch the first ever U16 European Championship title. Both teams exchanged the confident victories in the first half and then stayed close to each other for the rest of the game. Only in the second extra time Bosnia celebrated the success. Dzanan Musa (202-G-99, agency: Beo Basket), Sani Campara (188-PG-99) and Njegos Sikiras combined for 71 points to pace the winners. Sergi Martinez (200-PF-99) replied with 27 points and 20 boards in a loss. On Sunday Bosnia will take on Lithuania for the Gold, while Spain will play against Turkey for the third place.
Lithuania - Turkey 73-71 Lithuania will enter the Final game of the U16 European Championship as they overcame Turkey 73-71 at the Semifinal. France - Germany 57-55 France booked their place at next year's U17 World Championship as they overcame Germany 57-55 at the U16 European Championship in Kaunas. Both teams exchanged the narrow win in the first half as the board showed 29-29 at the halftime. Germany posted a 17-13 rally in the third period, while France needed a 15-9 surge in the final stanza to seal the victory. Slovenia - Czech Republic 75-70 OT Slovenia remained undefeated at the U16 European Championship Division B as they handed the first overtime loss to Czech Republic in the top game of the Group B. Slovenia needed a 75-70 win for a 3-0 record, while Czech Republic fell at 2-1. Slovenia dominated the first half, but then the opponents tied the game after trailing 11 points with 20 minutes to go. Slovenia however won an overtime 9-4 and jumped on top of the group. David Kralj (190-G-99) posted 15 points to lead the pace, while Dragan and Skedelj had 13 each. Tomas Havlik (191-F-99) ended up with 19 points in the losing effort.
Holland - Ireland 74-32 Holland did not leave any chance for Ireland in a 74-32 win on Saturday. The Dutch side improved to a 2-1 record in Group B of the U16 European Championship Division B. Holland won the first period 16-10 and added an 11-9 rally in the second frame. Moreover the Dutch side dominated the second half as well and posted two more victories. Vitaliy Lebedev (200-F/C-99) brought Belarus 58-57 lead with less than two minutes to go, but Switzerland managed to win the game. Kasongo drove a lay-up for 59-58 and then Safra closed the game from the free throw line. Matteo Marmondi (179-PG-99) top-scored for the winners with 16 points and Slca brought 15. Georgia - Luxembourg 77-43 Georgia improved to a 2-1 record in Group C of the U16 European Championship Division B. They overcame Luxembourg 77-43 as the latter fell at 0-3 record. Luxembourg managed to win only the second frame 12-11, while Georgia posted victories in three other quarters and reached the total success. Goga Bitadze (202-C-99) finished the game with 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Janelidze scored 10. Lou Demuth (209-C-00) was the only player for Luxembourg to reach double digits as he scored 10 points.

Portugal - FYR Macedonia 40-51 FYR Macedonia claimed the initial win in Group D. They rolled over Portugal for 1-1 record. Ukraine - Estonia 64-95 Estonia cruised past Ukraine for the second consecutive victory in Sofia. Sweden - Iceland 82-42 Sweden held off Iceland to take 1-1 record in Group D. Olle Lundqvist (199-F-99) nailed 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to lead the Scandinavian team.
