Regular Season Round 1: G.Canaria 2014 - AV Cantu 101-81

Spanish G.Canaria 2014 smashed Italian AV Cantu in Las Palmas 101-81. G.Canaria 2014 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to AV Cantu's 42. They outrebounded AV Cantu 45-26 including 17 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Cape Verdean-Spanish center Walter Tavares (220-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. American swingman Kyle Kuric (193-89, college: Louisville) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four G.Canaria 2014 players scored in double figures. G.Canaria 2014's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dominican-American guard James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) answered with 25 points and 4 steals and American point guard Darius Johnson-Odom (187-89, college: Marquette) added 14 points and 7 assists in the effort for AV Cantu. AV Cantu will play next round against Artland Dragons. G.Canaria 2014 will try to continue on its current victory against Oostende on the road.
