But Artland Dragons were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Villeurbanne 70-64 on Tuesday night. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket outrebounded Artland Dragons 39-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. It was a very good performance for Australian center David Andersen (212-80) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Taurean Green (184-85, college: Florida) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket players scored in double figures. American point guard David Holston (168-86, college: Chicago St., agency: Priority Sports) answered with 18 points and 7 assists and American-Cypriot power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami, FL, agency: Interperformances) added 13 points in the effort for Artland Dragons. Artland Dragons' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket will face JDA Dijon at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Artland Dragons will play against AV Cantu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
