Regular Season Round 2: Partizan - Banvit BK 61-77

No shocking result in a game in Beograd where Turkish Banvit BK (2-0) won against Serbian Partizan (0-2) 77-61 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Banvit BK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Partizan was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Montenegrin power forward Vladimir Dragicevic (206-86) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Dominican-American guard Sammy Mejia (198-83, college: De Paul) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Banvit BK players scored in double figures. Milan Macvan (205-89) responded with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Slovenian forward Edo Muric (202-91, agency: Beo Basket) scored 12 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Banvit BK will face Ploiesti at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Partizan will play against Hapoel Jerusalem and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
