Hapoel Jerusalem used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Beograd 82-79 on Wednesday night. The hosts trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 26-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Hapoel Jerusalem dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Partizan's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Lior Eliyahu (205-85) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Yotam Halperin (195-84) chipped in 12 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Slovenian forward Edo Muric (202-91, agency: Beo Basket) who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds and forward Mihajlo Andric (202-94, agency: Beo Basket) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively. Five Hapoel Jerusalem and four Partizan players scored in double figures. Hapoel Jerusalem will face Ploiesti on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Partizan will play against Krasny Oktyabr in Volgograd and hopes to get finally their first victory.
