Regular Season Round 4: Strasbourg - Brose Bask. 77-74

The game between closely ranked teams ended with top-ranked French Strasbourg IG's (4-0) home victory over their biggest opponent German Brose Baskets (2-2) 77-74 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 40-36 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Strasbourg IG made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for Ali Traore (207-85, college: S.Idaho JC, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. American Matt Howard (203-89, college: Butler) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American guard Brad Wanamaker (193-89, college: Pittsburgh) replied with 23 points and 6 assists and Latvian point guard Janis Strelnieks (191-89) added 21 points in the effort for Brose Baskets. Four Brose Baskets players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Strasbourg IG have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 4-0 record. Loser Brose Baskets keep the second place with two games lost. Strasbourg IG will face Paris-Levallois on the road in the next round. Brose Baskets will play against CAI Zaragoza and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
