Regular Season Round 5: AV Cantu - Oostende 68-60

There was a minor upset when Belgian Oostende (2-3) was defeated on the road by Italian AV Cantu (1-4) 68-60 on Wednesday. American forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) stepped up and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Dominican-American guard James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) chipped in 12 points and 5 assists. Serbian guard Dusan Djordjevic (193-83, agency: Beo Basket) responded with 16 points and American power forward Jared Berggren (208-90, college: Wisconsin, agency: Priority Sports) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Oostende players scored in double figures. Oostende's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. AV Cantu left bottom position moving up to fifth place in Group B, which they share with Art.Dragons. Defending Belgian champion Oostende keeps the third position with three games lost. AV Cantu will face league's leader G.Canaria 2014 in Las Palmas in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Oostende will play at home against the league's second-placed JDA Dijon.
