Regular Season Round 6: Virtus Acea - Spirou 100-69
Date: November 18, 2014
Everything went according to plan in Roma where first ranked Italian Acea (5-1) outleveled bottom-ranked Belgian Spirou Charleroi (1-5) 100-69 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Acea led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. Acea looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Spirou Charleroi's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Jordan Morgan (203-91, college: Michigan) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Canadian-Nigerian forward Melvin Ejim (198-91, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Dylan Page (204-82, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) who recorded 16 points and 6 rebounds and American-Bulgarian point guard Andre Collins (183-82, college: Loyola, MD) added 15 points respectively. Five Acea and four Spirou Charleroi players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Acea maintains first position in Group C with 5-1 record. Spirou Charleroi lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with five games lost. Acea will face Sluc Nancy on the road in the next round. Spirou Charleroi will play against Sevilla.
