Regular Season Round 7: Spirou - Sevilla 82-72

There was a minor upset when 4th placed Spanish Sevilla (3-4) lost on the road to sixth ranked Belgian Spirou Charleroi (2-5) 82-72 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Spirou Charleroi. Sevilla was better in second period 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Dylan Page (204-82, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Eric Wise (198-90, college: USC) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Spirou Charleroi players scored in double figures. Spirou Charleroi's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Alex Urtasun (193-84) answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Berni Rodriguez (197-80, agency: Court Side) added 12 points in the effort for Sevilla. Spirou Charleroi moved-up to fifth place in Group C, which they share with EWE Baskets. Sevilla at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Spirou Charleroi will face league's second-placed CEZ Nymburk on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sevilla will play against the league's leader Acea and hope to win that game.
