Regular Season Round 7: Dijon - ASVEL 75-58

Not a big story in a game when 4th placed ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (3-4) lost on the road to second ranked JDA Dijon (5-2) 75-58 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-58. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Steven Gray (195-89, college: Gonzaga) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds. Senegalese-French forward Antoine Mendy (198-83) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Ahmad Nivins (206-87, college: St.Joseph's) answered with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Edwin Jackson (191-89, agency: Comsport) added 7 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. JDA Dijon maintains second place in Group B with 5-2 record behind leader Strasbourg. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. JDA Dijon will face league's leader G.Canaria 2014 in Las Palmas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket will play on the road against AV Cantu.
