Rather predictable result when second ranked German Brose Baskets (6-2) defeated on the road one of their biggest challengers French Paris-Levallois (3-5) 67-56 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 67-56. Brose Baskets outrebounded Paris-Levallois 40-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Daniel Theis (204-92, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds and Latvian point guard Janis Strelnieks (191-89) who added 14 points and 5 assists during the contest. American power forward Sharrod Ford (206-82, college: Clemson) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Landing Sane (207-90) scored 7 points and 8 rebounds. Paris-Levallois' coach let to play eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Brose Baskets have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group A with 6-2 record behind leader Strasbourg. Loser Paris-Levallois dropped to the third place with five games lost. Brose Baskets will face league's leader Strasbourg IG at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Paris-Levallois will play against Telekom Baskets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
