Regular Season Round 8: EWE Baskets - Nancy 71-85

Date: December 3, 2014
There was no surprise in Oldenburg where 6th ranked German EWE Baskets (2-6) were defeated by second ranked French Sluc Nancy (5-3) 85-71 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Sluc Nancy. EWE Baskets was better in second period 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Darius Adams (186-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Three Eye Sports) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and forward Randal Falker (201-85, college: S.Illinois) who added 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Sluc Nancy players scored in double figures. point guard Julius Jenkins (187-81, college: Georgia South) responded with 16 points and point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: Long Beach St.) scored 17 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sluc Nancy maintains second position in Group C with 5-3 record having just two points less than leader Strasbourg. Loser EWE Baskets stay at the bottom place with six games lost. Sluc Nancy will face Sevilla (#4) on the road in the next round. EWE Baskets will play against Spirou Charleroi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
