Regular Season Round 8: Buducnost - Stelmet ZG 100-85

There was no surprise in Podgorica where 6th ranked Polish Stelmet (1-7) was defeated by fourth ranked Montenegrin Buducnost (3-5) 100-85 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Buducnost. Stelmet was better in second period 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Buducnost looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Stelmet was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian forward Cedomir Vitkovac (201-82, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard J.R. Reynolds (188-84, college: Virginia, agency: KMG Sports Management) who added 14 points and 6 assists during the contest. Buducnost's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Przemyslaw Zamojski (193-86, college: Independence CC, agency: Alti Sport) responded with 19 points and center Adam Hrycaniuk (206-84, college: Cincinnati, agency: Alti Sport) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Buducnost and five Stelmet players scored in double figures. Defending Montenegrin champion maintains fourth position in Group F with 3-5 record. Loser Stelmet stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. Buducnost will face group's leader Lokomotiv in Kuban in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Stelmet will play at home against the group's second-placed Karsiyaka.
