Regular Season Round 9: Brose Bask. - Strasbourg 63-70

The game between closely ranked teams ended with second-best German Brose Baskets' (6-3) home loss to first ranked French Strasbourg IG (8-1) 63-70 on Wednesday. Strasbourg clinched the top position in Group A. The guests trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 45-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was point guard Antoine Diot (193-89, agency: Comsport) who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American point guard Louis Campbell (190-79, college: Buffalo) chipped in 6 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Latvian point guard Janis Strelnieks (191-89) who recorded 13 points and 4 assists and American guard Brad Wanamaker (193-89, college: Pittsburgh) added 10 points, 8 assists and 4 steals respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Strasbourg IG have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group A with 8-1 record. Loser Brose Baskets keep the second position with three games lost. Strasbourg IG will face Paris-Levallois (#3) at home in the next round. Brose Baskets will play against CAI Zaragoza and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
