Regular Season Round 10: EWE Baskets - Virtus Acea 80-66

There was a surprise result when fifth ranked German EWE Baskets (4-6) beat top-ranked Italian Acea (7-3) in Oldenburg 80-66 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by EWE Baskets. Acea was better in fourth quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. EWE Baskets looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Acea's players. It was a very good performance for American power forward Adam Chubb (208-81, college: Pennsylvania) who helped to win the game recording 16 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). The other American import point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: Long Beach St.) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four EWE Baskets players scored in double figures. Canadian-Nigerian forward Melvin Ejim (198-91, college: Iowa St.) replied with 12 points and 5 rebounds and Croatian point guard Rok Stipcevic (185-86, agency: Alti Sport) added 12 points in the effort for Acea.
