Second Stage Round 1: B.Muenchen - Dijon 93-84

Bayern Muenchen used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from JDA Dijon 93-84 on Wednesday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But JDA Dijon won fourth quarter 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bayern Muenchen made 26-of-28 free shots (92.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. JDA Dijon was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American center John Bryant (208-87, college: Santa Clara) stepped up and scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and American-FYR Macedonian point guard Bo McCalebb (178-85, college: New Orleans) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American point guard Erving Walker (173-90, college: Florida, agency: Two Points) responded with 13 points and 9 assists and the other American import Andre Harris (201-85, college: Fair Dickinson) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Bayern Muenchen will face Brose Baskets in Bamberg. JDA Dijon will play at home against Un.Olimpija and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
