Second Stage Round 2: Paris-Levallois - Besiktas 93-83

Paris-Levallois used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Istanbul 93-83 on Tuesday night. The game was mostly controlled by Paris-Levallois. Besiktas was better in second period 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Paris-Levallois dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Besiktas' 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Blake Schilb (201-83, college: Loyola, IL) who scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. The other American import power forward Sharrod Ford (206-82, college: Clemson) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Four Paris-Levallois players scored in double figures. Guard Engin Atsur (194-84, college: N.Carolina St., agency: Beo Basket) produced 29 points and 9 assists and Bosnian center Kenan Bajramovic (205-81) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Paris-Levallois will face Karsiyaka at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Besiktas will play against Neptunas in Klaipeda.
