Second Stage Round 2: Dijon - Un.Olimpija 77-81

JDA Dijon was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Ljubljana 81-77 on Wednesday night. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-16. But JDA Dijon won second period 20-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin-American forward Halil Kanacevic (203-91, college: St.Joseph's) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds. Bulgarian forward Hristo Nikolov (200-85, agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. American Steven Gray (196-89, college: Gonzaga) produced 22 points and his fellow American import Andre Harris (201-85, college: Fair Dickinson) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four JDA Dijon players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Un.Olimpija will face Bayern Muenchen at home in the next round. JDA Dijon will play against Brose Baskets in Bamberg.
