Second Stage Round 3: Un.Olimpija - B.Muenchen 80-90

Everything went according to plan when German Bayern Muenchen (3-0) defeated Slovenian Un.Olimpija (1-2) in Ljubljana 90-80 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 32-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Bayern Muenchen dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Un.Olimpija's 34. It was a good game for Serbian center Vladimir Stimac (211-87, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). American center John Bryant (208-87, college: Santa Clara) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Bayern Muenchen players scored in double figures. Guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) answered with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Serbian point guard Marko Marinovic (183-83) added 13 points in the effort for Un.Olimpija. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bayern Muenchen will have a break next round. Un.Olimpija will play again on the road against Bayern Muenchen (#1) and hope to win that game.
