Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked German Brose Baskets and their biggest opponent French JDA Dijon had identical 1-2 record. But JDA Dijon was not able to use a home court advantage and was smashed by the opponent from Bamberg 86-56 on Wednesday night. It was a key game for the second position in Group K. The game without a history. Brose Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to JDA Dijon's 20. They outrebounded JDA Dijon 31-20 including a 25-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Brose Baskets looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by JDA Dijon's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Latvian point guard Janis Strelnieks (191-89) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 4 assists and American guard Brad Wanamaker (193-89, college: Pittsburgh) who added 10 points and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Erving Walker (173-90, college: Florida, agency: Two Points) responded with 11 points and 6 assists and Canadian-Trinidad and Tobago Kris Joseph (202-88, college: Syracuse) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brose Baskets (2-2) moved-up to second place in Group K. Loser JDA Dijon dropped to the bottom position with three games lost. Brose Baskets will face Un.Olimpija in Ljubljana in the next round. JDA Dijon will play at home against the league's leader Bayern Muenchen and hope to win that game.
