Second Stage Round 4: CEZ Nymburk - Strasbourg 72-66

There was a minor upset when much higher ranked French Strasbourg IG (2-2) was defeated on the road by bottom-ranked Czech CEZ Nymburk (1-3) 72-66 on Wednesday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Christian Burns (203-85, college: Philadelphia) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Chester Simmons (196-82, college: Washington) who added 16 points during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Louis Campbell (190-79, college: Buffalo) responded with 17 points and 4 assists and point guard Antoine Diot (193-89, agency: Comsport) scored 7 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending Czech champion maintains fourth position in Group G with 1-3 record. Loser Strasbourg IG keeps the second place with two games lost. CEZ Nymburk will face league's second-placed Zenit in Saint Petersburg in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Strasbourg IG will play on the road against the league's leader Unics Kazan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
