Second Stage Round 4: Sevilla - Lietuvos rytas 88-82

There was a small surprise when fourth ranked Spanish Sevilla (1-3) beat at home much higher ranked Lithuanian Lietuvos rytas (2-2) 88-82 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 30-21 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Sevilla made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian guard Nikola Radicevic (197-94) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and American-Ivorian swingman Derrick Byars (201-84, college: Vanderbilt) who added 20 points during the contest. At the losing side swingman Gediminas Orelikas (199-90) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and Adas Juskevicius (194-89) scored 14 points. Five Sevilla and four Lietuvos rytas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sevilla maintains fourth position in Group L with 1-3 record. Loser Lietuvos rytas keep the second place with two games lost. Sevilla will face Oostende on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Lietuvos rytas will play against PGE Turow in Zgorzelec and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
