Second Stage Round 4: AV Cantu - Limoges 68-57

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when their biggest opponent French Limoges CSP Elite (2-2) was defeated on the road by third ranked Italian AV Cantu (2-2) 68-57 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by AV Cantu. Limoges CSP Elite was better in fourth quarter 20-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AV Cantu forced 25 Limoges CSP Elite turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Darius Johnson-Odom (187-89, college: Marquette) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 rebounds and American-Hungarian forward Damian Hollis (203-88, college: G.Washington, agency: Two Points) who added 12 points during the contest. At the losing side forward Adrien Moerman (203-88) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Jamar Smith (191-87, college: S.Indiana, agency: KMG Sports Management) scored 12 points and 5 assists. Limoges CSP Elite's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. AV Cantu moved-up to second place in Group J, which they share with Limoges. AV Cantu will face league's leader Khimky on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Limoges CSP Elite will play against PAOK in Thessaloniki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
